Peter G. Shaheen

As the business law specialist at Shaheen Guerrera & O’Leary, LLC, Attorney Peter G. Shaheen uses his lifetime of experience to solve problems for his clients. Practicing in both State and Federal Courts of Massachusetts (since 1982) and New Hampshire (since 1986), he helps business owners navigate the complex business environment and ultimately, achieve success.

Besides 30+ years of practicing business law and the broad trial and transactional experience that was gained along the way, Mr. Shaheen has an extensive personal history of business ownership and management. In fact, he serves as general counsel and chief financial officer to his family’s business, Shaheen Bros., Inc. — which just celebrated its 75th anniversary!

In addition, until recently Mr. Shaheen functioned for 20+ years as legal counsel to Lazarus House, one of the largest private nonprofit social services charities in the Merrimack Valley, where he also served on the board of directors. He formerly served the Town of North Andover as Town Counsel and a member of the Advisory Board. Mr. Shaheen is currently a member of the Board of Directors of the Lawrence Boys and Girls Club and was a founding member of the North Andover Rotary Club. He is also a member of the Massachusetts and New Hampshire Bar Associations, The Lawrence Bar Association, The Essex County Bar Association and the Real Estate Bar Association.

He further handles commercial leasing and other legal matters for PBJ Development Corporation, general partner of North Andover Crossroads shopping center.

Personally, Mr. Shaheen enjoys all-things Boston sports, golf, hiking, travel and a good book — the paper kind. He describes himself as principled, hardworking, unpretentious, thorough, a good listener and a family man. Since 1982, he and his wife Margaret have resided in North Andover, Massachusetts, where they raised three children: Connie, Veronica and Peter. Together, they have long appreciated North Andover’s small-town charm, vast youth opportunities, historic preservation efforts, and faithful support of senior citizens.
