Attorney O’Leary’s practice consists primarily of family law, business law, construction law, real estate, plaintiff’s personal injury and estate planning. He is an experienced litigator, trained mediator and collaborative law professional. He represents clients in the Massachusetts and New Hampshire state courts, family courts and federal courts.
In addition to his considerable experience before the bench, Sean is a collaboratively trained lawyer and is a member of the Massachusetts Collaborative Law Council (MCLC), International Academy of Collaborative Professionals (IACP) and Massachusetts Council on Family Mediation (MCFM). Sean is also the Principal Founder of Turning Point Mediation
As a collaborative lawyer, Attorney O’Leary works with similarly trained attorneys and other allied professionals to understand each client’s interests and needs so that realistic options can be explored in an effort to reach global resolution and avoid litigation. As a mediator, Sean facilitates productive dialogue between parties as they discuss ways to craft realistic solutions to difficult problems. Sean also volunteers his time as a conciliator for the Massachusetts Superior Court and Massachusetts Probate and Family Court.
Sean is a guardian ad litem and has served as a faculty member for the Category F guardian ad litem training for Massachusetts Continuing Legal Education (MCLE). He has also served as a faculty member for introductory training offered by Massachusetts Collaborative Law Council. Sean participated and was featured in a collaborative law training DVD series and was a presenter at the Real Estate Section of the Connecticut Bar Association on the uses of collaborative law in civil and real estate disputes.
Sean stays busy in Southern New Hampshire where he lives with his wife and their two kids. He loves being active playing baseball, bass fishing, golfing or practicing Brazilian jiu-jitsu. He also volunteers his time coaching his son’s 18U travel baseball team.
